A first version of your product, built with you for early users
We plan, design, and build the first version of your product for the web, iOS, or Android, and launch it to early users. What those users do decides the first round of changes.
Working with founders from the first plan to the first changes
We work with founders from the first plan to the first round of changes. Together we decide what the first version needs and what can wait, and early users try a clickable prototype before the build starts.
The first version comes with sign-in, the admin screens your team needs to run it, and a way to see what people do once they are in. After launch, we rank the changes by what those users did and build the first round with you.
Our team builds products of its own as well, such as the website rebuild engine further down this page.
- Who it’s for
- You have an idea and a long list of features, and you need to decide what the first version must do.
- You have a prototype or a demo, and people now need a version they can sign in to and use.
- You want to learn from what early users do before you spend more on the build.
- You have no technical cofounder, and you want one team to plan, design, build, and launch it.
A first version in users’ hands, and the changes that follow
- A written plan for the first version, with what it needs and what can wait
- A clickable prototype to put in front of early users
- A working first version for the web, iOS, or Android, with sign-in and admin screens
- A launch to early users, with a way to see what they do
- A ranked list of changes based on what those users did, and the first round built
How we get from an idea to early users
Plan the first version
We talk through the idea, who it is for, and what those users need to do first. You approve a written plan that says what the first version needs and what can wait, with its price, before any build work starts.
Prototype with early users
We design the main screens and link them into a clickable prototype. You put it in front of early users, and we change what gets in their way.
Build the first version
We build in short rounds for the web, iOS, or Android, with sign-in and the admin screens your team needs. You try each working version as it comes together.
Launch to early users
The first version goes to your early users, with a way to see what they do in it: where they start, what they use, and where they stop.
Rank and build the changes
We go through what those users did with you, rank the changes it points to, and build the first round. From there, your team takes the product over, or we scope the next round with you.
How to start and what it costs
Start with a free call about what you want to build. We then write a scope and a price, and you approve them before any build work starts.
Web or mobile app: From $25,000. Typically 8 to 16 weeks.
Example: a seed‑stage startup with a working prototype
A first production version of its web app, with sign‑in, payments, and the admin screens the team needs to run it.
Typically $25,000 to $40,000, 8 to 12 weeks.
Founders can also work with the team through X-Ventures, the Stratyx founder program. Ask about it on a free call.
Your data and what you own
- Where is our data stored?
- In your own accounts and tools where possible, otherwise in cloud services we set up for your project and name for you before work starts.
- What happens to our data when the work ends?
- We hand over or delete what we hold, as you choose, and remove our access to your systems.
- Who owns the code you write for us?
- You own what we write for you; we keep our own pre‑existing components. What you own at the end, such as code, accounts, and content, is agreed in writing for each engagement before work starts.

Questions about Startup Acceleration
How do you decide what goes in the first version?
Stratyx Ventures decides what goes in your first version with you, before any build work starts, based on what your first users need to do. Everything else waits until they have tried the product, and you approve the plan and its price in writing.
Can we start with only an idea?
You can start with Stratyx Ventures from an idea, a prototype, or a first version that needs its next step. Our team plans, designs, builds, and launches from wherever you are, so you do not need a technical cofounder to begin.
Can the first version run on the web and on phones?
Stratyx Ventures builds first versions for the web, iOS, or Android, and can build all three from one codebase. Ohana Events, an app we built, runs its live web app and builds its iOS and Android apps from one codebase.
What happens after the first round of changes?
After the first round of changes, you choose what comes next: your team takes the product over, with written notes, or Stratyx Ventures scopes the next round with you.
Sketch the idea for us, however early it is
An idea, a prototype, or a demo is enough to start, and we plan the first version from there.
